Pneumonitis is one of the leading causes of Acute Lung Injury (ALI). First described in 1967, ALI, which ultimately develops into Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), is a leading cause of acute respiratory failure in critically ill patients. The mechanisms behind the pathophysiologic exacerbations of ALI into ARDS remain till today poorly understood, justifying the need for more advanced preclinical models that better replicate the clinical manifestations of ALI.
Every year, 74,500 out of 190,000 patients suffering from ALI will succumb to it. This needs to change. At PharmaLegacy, our preclinical models are designed by experts in pharmacology that can ensure pathophysiologic accuracy, and more importantly, translatability of your pipelines.
