Animal PK studies are valuable tools for screening compounds during the candidate optimization stage of drug discovery. PK studies provide valuable information on compounds including exposure, AUC, clearance, and half-life, etc. Proper PK studies can help speed up discovery, and ensure only compounds with desirable PK profiles are advanced into the clinic.
